One day this bull market party will end. But not, in my view, before a lot more drinking has been done. The call went out yesterday for more booze, which was duly delivered overnight and this morning. What were the calls? Two things. Fabulous earnings from Netflix, which tells you that the death of the American discretionary consumer budget has been exaggerated (that’s bullish for, er, everything), and major government investment announcements in the AI field. Which is bullish for AI. Which is, for now, bullish for, er, everything.
This drinks cabinet will one day be drained, and the local liquor store will refuse to deliver more, on account of the tab not having been paid. But for now? Shots!
