Just Another Day En Route To The End

by Alex King, CEO, Cestrian Capital Research, Inc

WW3 seems to be on the back burner for now; Iran sent a performative batch of missiles which performatively terminated some lives and destroyed some facilities, but not enough lives or facilities to move markets, it seems. Israel has threatened but not yet delivered a kinetic response in Iran. A ground war in Lebanon doesn’t itself seem to be a price-moving matter. Oil is thinking about moving up, and the thing about geopolitics is, when it spikes, it spikes, so I think one has to stay very focused on the possibility of markets taking fright - without actually taking fright oneself ahead of time. The Vix remains elevated which tells you investors are buying insurance; they aren’t yet selling the insured assets. But for now, all quiet on the market front.

So let’s get to work.
