Welcome To The Event Horizon
by Alex King, CEO, Cestrian Capital Research, Inc
April 2 is the nearest thing to a singularity we will find in equity, fixed income, commodity and crypto markets for a while. The vaunted tariff regime is due to be announced 4pm Eastern on Wednesday. Whether this will in fact be the final and definitive set of policies or another step along the way, I do not know. What I do know is that as always, as investors and traders we should care less about the actual content of the policy and more about the market reaction to the policy. And market reaction will be expressed clearly through price. So personally the way I plan to anticipate and react to the ‘Liberation Day’ announcements is … the same thing I do each and every day when no such event horizon is in proximity, which is to say, watch price and respond accordingly. The charts in this note each day are the same charts I use in my own personal investing and trading. I hope you find them helpful.
